This seminar will, for the first time, provide a concrete explanation of the metaphysical roots of Aikido, which holds that an infinite number of situations can be addressed through a single principle. This authentic practice of Aikido is the only one that enables the recognition of unity within the multiplicity of forms.
The explanation, which will be presented and studied using the technical movements of Aikido, is not an invention; it is based on the clear and precise instructions carefully provided by the founder of Aikido in his sole book, Budō. These instructions had never been passed on until now. The book remains banned from reprinting in Japanese – that is, in the language in which it was originally written – and was published in a limited edition of around a hundred copies in 1938.
